Embarrassed by not being able to spell this word? Youβre not the only one! This is another case of double letters causing problems. This time, we need to remember the double βrβ and βsβ. To jog your memory, imagine a little boy whoβs embarrassed by his sisterβs terrible singing and think: βHe goes Really Red when his Sister Sings.β = RR + SS

1. NECESSARY
What a pain! Is this devil of a word spelled with two βcβsβ, two βsβsβ or something in between? π€¨ Resolve the conundrum by imagining yourself trying to put on a shirt with one sleeve. It isnβt easy, is it?
Of course not β because itβs necessary for a shirt to have onecollar (the c!) and two sleeves (the sβs!).
